Rubio Wood Stain | Sample | Dark Roast
Natural timber variation is part of what gives Rubio Monocoat its character. The final appearance is influenced by the timber species, grain structure, sanding method and lighting conditions. We, therefore, strongly recommend testing a sample on the actual timber being used for your project before committing to a full application.
Using Sample Sachets
Rubio Monocoat sample sachets contain the same professional-grade product as full tins, but due to their small size correct preparation is essential:
-
Warm the sachet thoroughly before use (room temperature or slightly warmer)
-
Massage the sachet well to fully mix the contents prior to opening
- Once opened, mix again before application to ensure even pigment distribution
Insufficient mixing may result in uneven colour or a misleading finish.
Sampling on Larger Areas
For projects covering larger surfaces such as flooring, staircases or extensive joinery, we recommend applying the sample across a larger test area rather than a single small patch. This allows you to see how the colour behaves across different grain widths and variations, giving a more accurate impression of the finished result.
